About IPETRONIK

Business Type: Manufacturer

Success and Innovation

IPETRONIKLike so many success stories, IPETRONIK filled a much needed void in the testing and data acquisition world. Due to its success and invocative technology, Ipetronik is celebrating its silver anniversary, 25 years in business this year. In 1983 Ipetronik was known as the Engineering Office Pregger, when Robert Heck, Horst Ihle and Bernd Pregger received their first orders from BMW. This was later followed by orders from Mercedes-Benz. Today the list of customers includes many fortune 500 companies, as well as small engineering firms in the test and measurement field. Those original companies are still valued customers today. The company has grown by working closely with these very large automotive companies on innovative test and measurement techniques. In 1989 the company was renamed Ipetronik. Shortly thereafter, the development of the KIM/SIM product range was well under way.

This innovative technology made practical mobile in-vehicle measurements possible for the automotive industry, as well as measurements in sophisticated stationary test bench applications. Here was a system for the future which in 1996 was expanded for use in complex solutions including truck rolling road test benches, mobile data recording with data exchange via GSM communications, and on-line calculations and statistics.

Technology, innovation, and solutions to customer applications drives Ipetronik. The company specializes in data loggers, signal conditioning and data acquisition systems for the harsh environment. The “M-Series”, small in size, but large in performance and features, operates from a -40° C to 125°C (257°F). The “M-Series” can be submerged in water for a short period of time (IP67) and has an active shielding system to make it immune to electrical noise found around electric motors and combustion engines.

Whether it is signal conditioning modules, distributed I/O, data acquisition systems, data loggers, or fleet monitoring systems, Ipetronik is the source. The Ipetronik hardware uses industry standard communications interfaces. Software drivers are available for most common third party software packages. This allows the user to use familiar data evaluation and user interface software, eliminating the need to learn a new software package. The future is here today at Ipetronik.
