FARO Technologies, Inc.
FARO Laser ScanArm Provides Non-Contact Scanning
The challenge in the St. Michael project was creating the 3-D scan. The statue is approximately six feet tall and had to be scanned in place – in the lobby of the hospital. The statue could not be touched, sprayed, nor have any adhesive targets stuck to it. With these restrictions, there were very few equipment options available that could provide the information needed.
