Wintriss Automation Controls

The Wintriss SmartPAC^® 2 press automation control integrates programmable limit switch, die protection, clutch/brake control, tonnage signature analysis, and automated setup of counterbalance and shutheight into one control. The SmartPAC 2 features a large color screen, advanced communications, superior graphics, and the most user-friendly operator interface in the industry. Its built-in Ethernet capability allows you to view the press status and other information from your networked controls over the World Wide Web. No special software is needed. All you need is a remote connection to your in-house network and a web browser. The SmartPAC 2's Info Center feature allows you to display setup sheets, part drawings, and other information right at the press.

Press operators can use the SmartPAC 2 to send text messages to e-mail, pagers, text-enabled cell phones, etc. When your press needs the attention of maintenance, tooling, or other personnel, the operator simply selects the name of the person to be contacted and sends a message. In addition, the SmartPAC 2 can send status and diagnostic information to the Wintriss Tech Support Group—giving our industry-best support staff even more tools to help you with your application and troubleshooting questions.

Wintriss Safety Products

LazerSafe is a guarding system for hydraulic press brakes that provides a highly effective solution for both operator safety and machine productivity. Operators are protected by two continuous bands of laser light that sense the zone below the punch. LazerSafe allows machines to safely operate at higher speeds, increasing productivity.

Wintriss has been building the Shadow^® safety light curtains for the toughest applications for more than 30 years. With more than 40,000 systems installed, the Shadow has a proven track record. The Shadow VII light curtain's unique design enables you to protect multiple sides of a machine using a single control, one pair of cables, and up to four pairs of light curtains in series. You can protect both the front and back of your equipment as well as provide horizontal pass-through detection. The Shadow VII also features programmable fixed and floating blanking and has undergone independent testing and certifications by UL & CSA. Shadow VII complies with OSHA 1910.217, ANSI B11.1, ANSI B11.19, CSA Z142 and CSA Z432.

The WPC 2000 and WPC 1000 Wintriss press controls are easy-to-use, dual microprocessor-based systems that control part-revolution mechanical power presses. With two independent microprocessor systems, the WPC 2000/1000 provides diverse redundancy—the latest technology in maintaining optimum clutch/brake control and operator safety. Its resolver eliminates the need for a mechanical rotary limit switch, and brings all timing adjustments to the operator control panel.

Reporting Software

Honeywell LETS factory reporting software uses the latest technology to collect production data, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), from Wintriss-equipped presses as well as virtually every other machine in your factory. LETS is built around the powerful Microsoft SQL database for faster performance and ease of access to the information that LETS collects from the machines.
