American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) now offers the AST47SM Pressure Transmitter for pressure ranges up to 60,000 PSI (4000 bar). Using Krystal Bond Technology, the AST47HP is constructed with a one piece stainless steel sensing element. This design eliminates the risk of welds leaking or internal o-rings failing. Oil-filled sensors have a thinner diaphragm, so higher pressures can cause zero shifts. The AST47HP has a thick diaphragm that will not shift over time.

With the increase in efficiency requirements of engine manufacturers, engines are being manufactured with higher pressure diesel fuel rails. The AST47HP is becoming an integral part of measuring diesel pressure. Other applications include: Water Jets, Test Stands, Pipeline Instrumentation, High Pressure Wells, Hydraulics, and Injection Molding equipent.

Depending on the pressure range, AST can offer a variety of pressure fittings, as well as electrical connections and output signals.
